“Stonefly” is from Percival Everett’s new collection, HALF AN INCH OF WATER (Graywolf Press, 2015). Everett is a poet, novelist, and short story writer whose work has appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Callaloo, Denver Quarterly, and many other journals, and his stories have been included in the Pushcart Prize Anthology and Best American Short Stories. In 2015 he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Fiction. 2015.
Everett is Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Southern California and the author of nearly thirty books, including ASSUMPTION, ERASURE, I AM NOT SIDNEY POITIER, AND GLYPH.
